Open lacing gives the MC Mayfair Burgundy Full Grain, Leather Sole the derby's generosity, comfortable under a suit and equally at home without one. The colourway is burgundy full grain, kept deliberately quiet so the line of the shoe leads. It belongs with tailoring, though it takes to denim without complaint.

Materials: Burgundy painted full grain

Lining: Brown calf leather

Sole: Leather sole with rubber buttons injections

Made to order in the Mathieu Castanier atelier, hand-lasted, hand-finished and built to be resoled for decades. Available in EU, UK and US sizes, or fully personalised through the 3D atelier.

Feed it now and then with a neutral or matching cream and a soft brush; the leather will deepen into a rich patina over time.
