The MC Mayfair Brown Patina is a derby: open lacing, quarters stitched over the vamp, and a little more ease than an oxford. Here it is cut in brown patina, chosen for depth of colour rather than for effect. Formal enough for the boardroom, relaxed enough for a long lunch afterwards.

Feed it now and then with a neutral or matching cream and a soft brush; the leather will deepen into a rich patina over time.
