The MC Jazz Black Box Calf wears the single monk's one strap with restraint, easy to slip on and quietly distinctive. It comes here in black box calf, a combination that rewards a closer look. It carries weddings and board meetings with the same composure.

Sole: Dark red leather sole, Goodyear Welt construction

Made to order in the Mathieu Castanier atelier, hand-lasted, hand-finished and built to be resoled for decades. Available in EU, UK and US sizes, or fully personalised through the 3D atelier.

Nourish the upper occasionally with a matching cream and finish with a soft brush; it will deepen into a rich patina over time.
