A double monk with two straps set across the upper, the MC Chicago Medium Brown Box Calf, Black Sole sits between the dress shoe and something more personal. For this colourway the atelier has used medium brown box calf, warm in daylight and darker under lamplight. Dress it up with worsted or down with cotton; it holds its own either way.

Materials: Medium brown box calf leather

Sole: Black Goodyear Welt mixed leather and rubber sole with higher heel

Made to order in the Mathieu Castanier atelier, hand-lasted, hand-finished and built to be resoled for decades. Available in EU, UK and US sizes, or fully personalised through the 3D atelier.

Feed it now and then with a neutral or matching cream and a soft brush; the leather will deepen into a rich patina over time.
