A double monk with two straps set across the upper, the MC Chicago Black Calf & Black Ostrich sits between the dress shoe and something more personal. Rendered in black calf and black ostrich, the pair carries its colour with the restraint the shape asks for. It carries weddings and board meetings with the same composure.

Materials: Black painted calf, black exotic ostrich

Lining: Red calf leather

Sole: Red Goodyear Welt, leather sole with buttons rubber injections

Made to order in the Mathieu Castanier atelier, hand-lasted, hand-finished and built to be resoled for decades. Available in EU, UK and US sizes, or fully personalised through the 3D atelier.

Nourish the upper occasionally with a matching cream and finish with a soft brush; it will deepen into a rich patina over time.
