The MC Mayfair Dark Brown Calf & Navy Calf is a derby: open lacing, quarters stitched over the vamp, and a little more ease than an oxford. The upper is dark brown calf and navy calf, hand-finished so the tone reads differently from every angle. Dress it up with worsted or down with cotton; it holds its own either way.

Materials: Dark brown painted calf, navy painted calf

Lining: Navy calf leather

Sole: Ultramar leather sole

Made to order in the Mathieu Castanier atelier, hand-lasted, hand-finished and built to be resoled for decades. Available in EU, UK and US sizes, or fully personalised through the 3D atelier.

Nourish the upper occasionally with a matching cream and finish with a soft brush; it will deepen into a rich patina over time.
