The Roma chukka answers most days without argument: high enough for autumn, clean enough for the office. Here it is worked in dark brown alligator and set on a brown Goodyear-welted mixed leather and rubber sole, a pairing that moves from city pavements to gravel drives without complaint.

Materials: dark brown exotic alligator

Lining: tan calf leather

Sole: brown Goodyear Welt, leather sole with mountain rubber injections

Made to order in the Mathieu Castanier atelier, hand-lasted, hand-finished and built to be resoled for decades. Available in EU, UK and US sizes, or fully personalised through the 3D atelier.

A soft, barely damp cloth is all that is required to keep the exotic skin pristine.
