Open lacing gives the MC Mayfair Black Commando the derby's generosity, comfortable under a suit and equally at home without one. The upper is black box calf, hand-finished so the tone reads differently from every angle. Equally at home with a dark suit or an odd jacket and grey trousers.

Made to order in the Mathieu Castanier atelier, hand-lasted, hand-finished and built to be resoled for decades. Available in EU, UK and US sizes, or fully personalised through the 3D atelier.

Nourish the upper occasionally with a matching cream and finish with a soft brush; it will deepen into a rich patina over time.
