The MC Jazz Fire Patina wears the single monk's one strap with restraint, easy to slip on and quietly distinctive. This pair is worked in fire patina, a colourway that shifts in the light rather than shouting. It belongs with tailoring, though it takes to denim without complaint.

Lining: Brown calf leather

Sole: Dark red Goodyear Welt, mixed leather and rubber sole

Made to order in the Mathieu Castanier atelier, hand-lasted, hand-finished and built to be resoled for decades. Available in EU, UK and US sizes, or fully personalised through the 3D atelier.

Feed it now and then with a neutral or matching cream and a soft brush; the leather will deepen into a rich patina over time.
